Breaking: NSCDC storms 2025 UTME centers

As the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) kicks off today, Thursday , April 24, 2025, the Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Osun State Command, Igbalawole Sotiyo, led a team to supervise some accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) centers in Osun State.

During the on-the-spot assessment, Commandant Sotiyo met with the State Coordinator of JAMB in the State , Mr Babatunde Jacob and assured him that NSCDC personnel deployed for the assignment will discharge their duties with a high level of professionalism to uphold the integrity of the examinations.

The Commandant also discussed strategies for effective collaboration between NSCDC and JAMB to prevent examination malpractices and ensure a smooth conduct of the exams.

Commandant Sotiyo advised candidates writing the exams to abide by the rules governing the examination, noting that NSCDC will not tolerate any act of indiscipline during the examination. “We will not hesitate to take action against anyone found engaging in malpractice,” he warned.

He further advised those who do not have business during the exams to stay clear of the premises while assuring JAMB staff of adequate protection of lives and property.

“Our personnel will ensure that all exam centers are secure, and candidates can focus on their exams without any distractions,” Commandant Sotiyo said.

Earlier, the State Commandant held a strategic meeting with Area Commanders and Divisional Officers across the state, where he emphasized the importance of maintaining professionalism and discipline in tackling malpractices during the exams.”We must ensure that the integrity of the examination is upheld,” he said.
