Bishop David Oyedepo, the founder of Living Faith Church, also known as Winners’ Chapel, has recounted how a woman got pregnant in the United States simply by tripping and causing him to stumble.

According to the cleric, the woman exercised her faith by intentionally tripping him when she noticed security personnel nearby. As she ensured that her legs made contact with him, it caused him to stumble, leading to her pregnancy and giving birth nine months later.

Oyedepo while sharing the story said: “A woman dealt with me somewhere in the U.S. I was there for a meeting and then she saw security here and there, and she said ‘today na today’, so she put her leg, and I stumbled. Then she told her husband ‘I’m pregnant’. He said ‘ehn, just now?’. She delivered nine months time. Faith was alive.”

 

The Federal Government has officially terminated the Visa-on-Arrival policy, declaring that Nigeria will no longer be a destination for criminals.

Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, the Minister of Interior, revealed the decision, explaining that the policy had proven ineffective.

He further highlighted that authorities had observed a growing trend where travelers bypassed direct flights into Nigeria, instead landing in neighboring countries before completing their journey by land across borders.

Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, made the announcement at the conclusion of a weeklong capacity-building training for Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) personnel.

This training is part of the NIS’s efforts to enhance its ability to document all individuals entering the country.

The Visa-on-Arrival policy, initially introduced by former President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration in 2020, allowed for short-stay visas to be issued upon arrival at the point of entry.

He said: “The Visa-on-Arrival issue is one of the core policy issues because I always tell people the visa is not just an approval of entry, it is a migration management device.

“It is a security device to manage migration into your country. So the way it is at the moment is very subjective. We are not really too objective and that is why we are automating the whole process end-to-end.

“And the e-visa solution, we are working hard to be able to meet the first of March or peradventure if we are unable, the first of April, we will hit it live.

“We will automate the system. People apply online and we will do what we need to do. That solution will be integrated with the Interpol system, the criminal records system, so that we can be able to take decisions.

“We do not want foreign attachés approving and issuing visas. It is not going to be that any more, we want to be able to screen people. This country cannot be a destination for wanted criminals in the world. Nigeria is not a safe haven for any criminal and it will never be.

“Security is not a sector where you can afford to be 99.9 percent correct. You just have to be 100 percent. We believe that it is better for us to take decisions based on objectivity rather than subjectivity.

“And of course, that will lead to the cancellation of the visa-on-arrival process because the visa-on-arrival we understand is not a system that works, because I don’t expect you to just come into my country without me knowing that you are coming into my country.

“No, it is never done anywhere, and of course, we are also introducing what we call the landing and exit card.

“We do it now, but it is manual. We are not going to be doing that anymore. This is 2025. This is not 1825. So, technology must take its place.”

 

 

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has uncovered various unregistered narcotics, counterfeit GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) medications, and improperly stored vaccines during its ongoing enforcement operation at the Idumota open drug market in Lagos.

In a shocking revelation, some of the vaccines were found in toilets, raising serious concerns about the safety and storage practices within the market.

This was disclosed in a statement shared via NAFDAC’s X handle on Thursday, February 20.

The statement reads: “In the ongoing enforcement operation at the Idumota open drug market, NAFDAC has uncovered more alarming products, including unregistered narcotics, counterfeit GSK medicines, and vaccines stored in toilets.

“During an operation on Tuesday, officials also seized expired USAID-donated condoms, which had been repackaged and sold under the name ‘Kiss Condom’.

“More from the Idumota enforcement exercise, NAFDAC officials have seized, Banned drugs such as Analgin, Vaccines meant for cold chain storage, Oxytocin for maternal health, improperly stored outside the cold chain and donated medical products.”

 

 

The Katsina State Hisbah Board has banned all nightclub activities across the state, citing Islamic principles and the need to uphold moral values.

The Hisbah Commander-General, Dr Aminu Usman, announced this in a statement issued in Katsina on Wednesday.

He stated that nightclub owners must shut down their establishments to curb immoral practices, protect societal values, and address security concerns in the state.

“The board warned that violators would face strict penalties. Security agencies have been instructed to ensure full compliance with the order.

“We are committed to building a morally upright society and ensuring peace and security in Katsina State,” Usman said.

He confirmed that the board has informed relevant security agencies, including the state Commissioner for Internal Security, to enforce the directive effectively.

“This move aligns with Hisbah’s broader efforts to ensure residents continue their lives in line with religious and moral standards,” he stated.

The mystery of a Virgin Mary statue in Italy that ‘wept tears of blood’ has been solved.

In 2016, a woman identified as Gisella Cardia proclaimed that the Madonna di Trevignano was crying blood and giving her revelations to share with believers who flocked to receive its blessing and hand over tens of thousands of dollars in donations.

Prosecutors in the port city of Civitavecchia opened a fraud investigation in 2023, ordering swab tests of the blood-stained porcelain cheeks that were previously speculated to have been pig’s blood.

The lab results surfaced last week, showing the blood matched the owner Cardia’s genetic profile.

However, her lawyer, Solange Marchignoli, said the DNA analysis must also show if it was a single-profile or mixed.

‘If the profile is single, it means that it is only Cardia’s and she put it there, so in this case we would go to trial,’ Marchignoli told Italian news outlet Corriere della Sera.
‘But if, as expected, the profile is mixed, it means that the DNA found on the statue also contains Cardia’s DNA, which we expect because she used, kissed it, and handled it.

Cardia has reportedly left her home in Trevignano and no one, not even her lawyer, knows whereabouts.

Cardia, who was previously convicted of bank fraud, arranged visits to see the ‘weeping’ statue every third day of the month.

She tucked the small statue inside a large blue case, positioned in front of a giant statue of Mary.

In 2022, locals from the town of Trevignano Romano who were skeptical of the bleeding Madonna called in a private investigator who met with the Italian military police.

The suspicious locals reportedly presented evidence suggesting the red liquid appearing from the statue’s eyes was pig’s blood.

Renowned Nollywood actor Dele Odule has broken his silence on the alleged rumours circulating on social media about his death and alleged arrest.

In a video shared via his Instagram handle on Wednesday, February 19, Odule expressed his disappointment and frustration over the baseless reports.

He reassured his fans that he is alive and well, dismissing the rumors as completely untrue.

He said: “There’s nothing wrong with me, I am very much alive. I don’t understand why someone would wish me dead. This is barbaric, uncalled for, and not fair.”

He also discussed another false claim suggesting that he was arrested for child molestation, featuring an image of him in handcuffs.

Odule questioned the motives behind these rumors, asking “For what? What is your problem? Are you alright? Don’t try to bring me down.

Rich countries often give the illusion of a high standard of living, well-funded public services, and flourishing economies.

However, that is not the case for these countries where the paradox of immense wealth contrasts sharply with widespread poverty among the citizens. Several factors contribute to this phenomenon, including wealth disparity, political instability, economic mismanagement, and a lack of wealth distribution.

While a country might have natural resources like oil, gas, or minerals that generate massive revenues, the wealth often fails to trickle down to the general population. It remains concentrated in the hands of a few elite individuals. Corruption, inefficient government systems, and political conflict also hinders progress and creates an unequal distribution of resources. Let’s look at some of these countries below;

1. Qatar

Qatar is one of the richest countries in the world based on GDP per capita, primarily due to its vast natural gas reserves. However, despite the nation’s wealth, a large percentage of its population, particularly migrant workers live in poverty and are subjected to exploitative practices, with minimal access to basic services.

2. United Arab Emirates (UAE)

The UAE, particularly Dubai and Abu Dhabi, is known for its opulent infrastructure, high-rise buildings, and extravagant lifestyles. The country has made vast fortunes from oil and gas however, the wealth is not shared equally. A significant portion of the UAE’s population consists of low-paid migrant workers who live in substandard conditions which starkly contrasts with the wealth enjoyed by the Emirati elite.

3. Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia is another country rich in oil, and its wealth has funded a lavish lifestyle for many of its citizens. However, much of the population still struggles with unemployment, high poverty rates, and a lack of economic opportunities, particularly among the younger generation. While the royal family and other elites enjoy vast fortunes, the average citizen remains in poverty.

4. Nigeria

Nigeria, Africa’s largest economy, is a prime example of a country that is rich in natural resources but where the wealth is unevenly distributed. The country is home to vast oil reserves, however, a large percentage of Nigerians live in poverty. Corruption, poor governance, and economic mismanagement have prevented the country from harnessing its wealth for the benefit of all its citizens.

5. Venezuela

Venezuela has one of the largest oil reserves in the world, making it one of the richest countries in terms of natural resources. However, decades of political instability, economic mismanagement, and corruption have caused the country to experience a sharp decline in living standards. Venezuela is now struggling with hyperinflation, food shortages, and severe poverty and most Venezuelans live in poverty.

6. Angola

Angola is an oil-rich country in Africa that has significant natural resources, including oil and diamonds, which have generated massive wealth for the country. However, the vast majority of Angolans still live in poverty. High levels of corruption, lack of infrastructure, and political instability have prevented the wealth from reaching the general population.

While natural wealth and economic power can lead to national prosperity, the benefits do not always reach the wider population. The wealth of a nation must be equitably shared, so that the prosperity of a nation can be enjoyed by all its citizens, not just a select few.

 

European countries, Finland and Sweden, are part of the six countries where the sun never sets for a particular period of time.

These countries experiences sunshine for months and some also experience darkness for some consecutive days.

According to India Times, these are the places where the sun never sets:

Sweden

Constant sunshine may occur for up to six months in a year in the country. From early May until the end of August, the sun sets at midnight and by 4 am, it rises again.

Finland

During summertime, most parts of Finland never experience a sun set for straight 73 days. However, in winter time, no sunlight is seen in the region.

As a result, people in those areas sleep more during the winter and less in summer, due to the constant sunlight.

Norway

Also known as the Land of the Midnight Sun, Norway, for a period of 76 days never experiences sunset.

That period is from May until the end of July, where there is constant sunlight. The city of Svalbard in the country experiences constant sunshine from April 10 to August 23.

Nunavut, Canada

Nunavut is in the Northwest region of Canada and experiences about two months of uninterrupted sunlight.

In winter, however, the region sees total darkness for 30 consecutive days.

Iceland

Asides from its popularity as the country without mosquitoes, Iceland also experiences very bright nights during summer. Also, in the month of June, the sun actually never sets.

Barrow, Alaska

The sun does not set in this region from late May until late July night. Interestingly, from early November, the sun does not rise for 30 consecutive days.

This period without sun rise is known as the polar night. As a result, winter time brings absolute darkness to the country.

 

 

Annie Knight, the woman known as “Australia’s most s3xually active woman” has revealed she is ready to settle down.

Annie Knight is known for her s3x challenges, such as her bid to sleep with 600 people in 2024. In 2025, she’s aiming to sleep with 1,000 people, with half being virgins.

However, despite still focusing on her career, the 28-year-old has revealed that she is actively looking for love after having been on only one date in the last two years.

“I’m looking for someone loyal, nonjudgmental, accepting of my job, someone who makes me laugh. Looks aren’t as important but obviously I need to be physically attracted to them,” Knight told news.com.au.

“I think now’s the right time because I’ve set myself up, I’m still doing my challenges but I’m 28 and I have this amazing life and I’d love to have someone to share it with.

“I’m also a lot more confident than I was two years [ago] and I have really discovered myself in this journey and so I feel ready to give love to someone else.”

Knight recently went on her second first date in two years, saying her last date, with a well-known Australian actor, didn’t pan out.

This time, she went out with a real estate agent. She said she “hated to add to the stereotype” but labeled the man a “w—r.”

“He thought he was so self-important, he talked about himself the whole time. He was not interested in hearing about me at all,” she said.

“Weirdly, he was OK with my job. But, they always say they’re OK with my job.”

However, she said every date she has been on in the last four years has seemed supportive of her line of work, until they ghost her.
