I think you have lost your left brain – SA Politician tackles Elon Musk

Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema has hit back at billionaire Elon Musk after Musk labeled him an “international criminal” in a social media exchange.

The EFF has publicly defended Malema amid the heated controversy.

The incident began when Musk shared a tweet by X user Mario Nawfal, which featured a video of Malema stating that the EFF would “cut the throat of whiteness.” The clip also included a separate statement by former Black Land First (BLF) president Andile Mngxitama, known for his violent rhetoric against white people. Nawfal’s post drew widespread attention on the platform.

Musk responded to the video on his @elonmusk X account, calling for “immediate sanctions” against Malema and urging that he be declared an international criminal. The remarks ignited a sharp response from Malema.

Taking to his @Julius_S_Malema X account, the EFF leader fired back, calling Musk a “typical spoiled brat” and a “direct beneficiary of Apartheid whiteness.” Malema also accused Musk of racism, claiming, “I know black people look the same to you, typical racist. Look closer, and you will realise those are two different people.”

He continued, “America is exposing us to its stupidity. I don’t care about your sanctions; I will never stop fighting for black people to be equal to white people, and if that makes me an international criminal, I am proud to be one.”

Relationship counselor’s marriage ends 3 years after advising women to give more food, sex to cheating husbands

Ghanaian pastor, Apostle Solomon Oduro, founder of Solomon Oduro Ministries, has officially announced the dissolution of his marriage to Rev. Charlotte Oduro, a well-known marriage counsellor.

In 2022, Rev. Charlotte Oduro advised women not to leave their husbands over infidelity but instead to give them a good treat anytime they return from having an extramarital affair.

According to her, women should not bug their husbands or push them away with unnecessary complaints and criticisms anytime they detect such acts.

As a guest on Accra-based Okay FM with host Abieku Santana, Oduro said people should endeavour to be considerate to their fellow humans and not be quick to judge them.

“When your husband returns home from cheating, let him settle, give him good s3x and food. It’s not right for anyone to cheat. Yes, it is wrong but we have all done wrong so we should be human. Let’s think thoroughly before we judge. It’s not right to do it but let’s give people a listening ear. After paying attention and listening, you can detect whether their actions were as a result of a mistake, or it was deliberate,” she stated.

In a press release issued on Monday, February 10, 2025, her husband, Apostle Oduro stated that the decision to dissolve the marriage was reached after much prayer, discussion, and careful consideration.

“After much prayer, discussion, and careful consideration, irreconcilable differences have necessitated this move,” the statement read.

According to the release, the couple had been separated for the past three years and officially dissolved their marriage traditionally last year.

Apostle Oduro, who described himself as “a man of God, a public figure, and a role model to many,” said he felt it was his duty to officially communicate the development to the public to prevent misinformation, speculation, or undue controversy.

“I humbly request that this sensitive transition be met with understanding,” he said.

Gunmen kill pastor, steal over N300k

Gunmen have k!lled a pastor at Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), Reverend Bala Galadima, in Lubo, Yamaltu/Deba Local Government Area of Gombe State.

It was gathered that the pastor was k!lled in the community in the early hours of Sunday, February 9, 2025.

A resident of Lubo and an eyewitness, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the gunmen stormed the town at about 1 a.m., announcing their presence with gunshots.

The resident disclosed that the gunmen first visited the ECWA Church in the community before proceeding to a nearby compound where they stole some money.

He said the assailants entered the compound, stole N300,000 and then ransacked the houses in the compound and afterwards asked for the deceased’s house which was a fence away.

The witness said on getting the information, the gunmen proceeded to the pastor’s house where they shot him at the upper part of his back.

He added that community had been thrown into mourning, saying many residents were yet to recover from the incident.

Confirming the incident, the Gombe State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Buhari Abdullahi, said it was a case of robbery leading to the death of the cleric.

Abdullahi stated that the Gombe State Commissioner of Police, Bello Yahaya, who visited the hospital where the body of the deceased was taken to, had deployed a team of special squad of personnel to the area.

He expressed optimism that the culprits would be arrested and made to face the full wrath of the law.

“The issue is a robbery because they entered into the house at night and maybe they attempted to rob him but unfortunately from the way he was shot at the back, maybe he was trying to escape which is natural and normal and he was shot,” the police spokesman said.

Abdullahi debunked issue linking the incident to suspected bandits, noting that the state had no history of banditry.

“We have coordinated a special operation and we are confident that the culprits would be arrested,” he added.

On why the incident occurred despite the ban on night-time movement by the police, Abdullahi said the restriction was only effective in Gombe metropolis.

He, however, said Yahaya had directed all Area Commands in Gombe State to replicate the restriction on night-time movement across the state.

I will put fire in your states – Wike Warns PDP Govs

    Wike
    Minister of FCT, Nyesom Wike

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has vowed to cause political crisis in the state of any governor who tries to interfere in the affairs of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State.

He said this at the PDP secretariat in Port Harcourt on Saturday during the party’s state congress.

“Let me assure all of you, not while we live will anybody take away the structure of PDP from us. But let me tell people, I hear some governors who say they will take over the structure and give back to somebody, I pity those governors because I will put fire in their states.

“When God has given you peace, you say you don’t want peace – anything you see you take,” Wike said.

The minister, who singled out Bauchi governor, Bala Mohammed, promised sleepless nights to governors who leave their states to challenge him in Rivers State.

“Because I heard they got some money from signature bonus and so their heads are getting big that you will put hand in my own state. Prepare because I have the capacity to also do the same thing in your own state.

“Whether you are from Bauchi I don’t give a damn, whichever state you are from, as far as I know that you are trying to put yourself in Rivers State, your hand will get burnt and you will never sleep in your state,” he said.

Wike expressed his anger over the decision of PDP Governors in Taraba State to support Gov. Fubara on the political crisis between them in Rivers State.

The PDP governors’ forum had in a communique read by its Chairman, Governor Bala Mohammed, on August 23, reiterated their support for Governor Siminalayi Fubara.

They called for a review of the party congress outcome to restore Fubara’s leadership role in the state.

“The Forum notes the political impasse in Rivers State where court judgements are employed to determine the outcome of the party congresses.

“The PDP Governors’ Forum restates its stand with the Governor of Rivers State, and will engage the NWC of our great party to revisit the congress with a view to correcting the anomaly and allowing His Excellency Governor Siminalayi Fubara to take his rightful leadership position of the party in the state,” the communique read in part.

The PDP in Rivers State has been in crisis following the fallout between Wike and his predecessor Fubara.

Channels TV reported that Governor Fubara was absent in the Saturday’s congress conducted at the party’s secretariat in Aba Road, Port Harcourt.

In attendance alongside the FCT minister were some serving and past lawmakers at both federal and state levels, former council chairmen, and other party faithful.

INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner and some other staff of the commission were also present to monitor the exercise.

Israel Declares 48-Hour Nationwide State Of Emergency

    Israel
    Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant

Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant has declared a 48-hour nationwide state of emergency, effective 6 am Sunday, in response to the Israeli military’s pre-emptive strikes in Lebanon.

Israel declared the 48-hour state of emergency after carrying out a pre-emptive attack on Hezbollah sites in southern Lebanon as the Iran-backed militant group began what it said was its initial response to last month’s killing of its military chief by Israel.

The Israeli military said it sent 100 warplanes over Lebanon and took out thousands of rocket launchers aimed at targets in northern and central Israel. Lieutenant Colonel Nadav Shoshani, a military spokesman, said Hezbollah then fired hundreds of missiles and rockets at Israel.

A statement from Gallant’s office read:

“The declaration on the state of emergency enables the IDF (Israeli military) to issue instructions to the citizens of Israel, including limiting gatherings and closing sites where it may be relevant.

“I am convinced that there is a high probability of an attack against the civilian population in areas of the country where the declaration of a special situation did not apply.

“I hereby declare a special situation on the home front in other areas of the country. The situation is valid for 48 hours starting at 6:00 am.”

In a separate statement, the Defence Ministry confirmed that Gallant briefed US Secretary of Defence Lloyd Austin on the situation, Thewhistler reports.

“We have conducted precise strikes in Lebanon in order to thwart an imminent threat against the citizens of Israel.

“We are closely following developments in Beirut, and we are determined to use all the means at our disposal in order to defend our citizens,” he stated.

The state of emergency will remain in effect for 48 hours, starting at 6 am Sunday.
